Chismis has it that Facebook free mode is no longer available in some areas in the Philippines. What I’ve discovered is that not only is this false, but there is a perfectly good explanation as to why users are experiencing issues with that particular service…network congestion! Basically, because the Facebook app uses far more data then the Facebook mobile site, users trying to make the switch to free mode via the app during peak hours will give up in frustration. What if I told you that there is a way to both force the Facebook app to prioritize connecting to the free service, and at the same time give you access to free data for many of your favorite websites?! If that interests you then please reference the following steps:
People always ask “how can I place a free call to Philippines? I need to call my family but it’s so expensive.” These days everyone has a cell phone, even in the Philippines people are addicted to texting to the point where they often prioritize “load” (prepaid cellphone units) over food. The difference is that in the West, everyone has a smart phone, but this isn’t always the case in the Philippines where the average Filipino might not be able to afford that type of technology. With that being said, I will provide two different solutions to making that free call to Philippines (and vice versa); one for those with smartphones at each end of the call, and the other the old fashion way.
Philippines Travel Blog #1
Many travelers we’ve met usually do not make significant changes in their banking simply for going on vacation. Philippines travelers on the other hand, they can be a different breed though. Do to the great many overseas Filipino workers, as well as balikbayan’s, and fiance visa seekers, the Philippines sees a lot more repeat travelers then many other countries in Asia.
