Travel Warning PI

There is currently a Travel Advisory in effect for this region and it's surrounding boarders as well as islands just off the coast of the Mindanao mainland.  For time-being we would recommend sticking to the safer regions of North/Central Mindanao or inland Davao, seek a guide, and always avoid traveling at night.

A truly tranquil region with much potential! The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), is a true diamond in the rough. Despite what one may have heard in the Mindanao news, the region as a whole is engulfed with a peaceful people who respect the land, and only seek self government. It’s exclusively an unfortunate few that have given the entire region a bad name. The Philippine government has experienced a delay in the purposed "Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) that seeks to bring closure to the 17-year peace process between the government and the Moro people of this region. It’s a shame because this is could be one of the greatest tourist spots in the country.

A Day In Cotabato City

We breakdown an sample itinerary to start your day in ARMM's most popular city. We have picked out the most popular local Hotel, Restaurant, and Destination. Click the pictures for more information, navigation, and for ratings.

Relax

in peace at this heavily Marine guarded hotel called Estosan Garden. A good all-around hotel was tricky to find here, but we think this hotel choice will work for most tourists. The rooms are ok at best, but the restaurant is great, and most amenities of the city are nearby as to avoid unnecessary travel. Newly renovated from an old casino, Estosan Garden is one of the only hotels in the area that allow alcoholic beverages.

Begin

your day with some tasty local food including pasta and awesome chicken dishes at Cafe Le Sorelle on Alonzo Bldg, Quezon Ave. Got a sweet tooth, this cafe will satisfy with cakes, pies, and cheesecake!

Explore

what is one of Asia's most beautiful mosques. Anyone, regardless of religion, will surly appreciate this magnificent piece of architecture. It is easy to re-connect in this place, enjoy it, and take pictures, the best time for pictures is around 4 PM. Please be aware that this is a religious site, so be sure to show respect by observing proper attire that is traditional to Muslim culture.
